I had an anxiety disorder all through college so especially the beginning of the year was horrible for me-I thought I was dying so many times. My roomate forced me to go to a party the first weekend and I had a panic attack and hit in the bathroom until she agreed to leave. I don’t miss those days!
My best back to college story…On my first day of college, my dad had to bring me school and pick me up (the college is close by and I still lived at home). How horrific is that?! Well I was waiting for him that afternoon and I waited and waited and then I noticed this car that had been sitting there..a red ponitac grandam..and my dad was driving. He had bought me a car!
My daughter is preparing to head to TX from KY for grad school so we’re sorting thru the last 4 years of college stuff to make the big transition! She’s excited, nervous and a bit teary (as are we)
I can’t remember that far back! Can I give a law school story instead? That was a little more recent. On the first day of first year, I was in the lecture hall, quite nervous. The girl who sat next to me was the typical California beauty – tall, tan, blond and pretty. I was SO intimidated by her. But she turned out to be the nicest girl ever, and we were good friends all through school
I went to college only about ten miles from home and I remember my parents sneaking over to the dorm and leaving little notes and treats for me… it was such a pick-me-up to come in after a day at classes to find my dad had left me a chocolate bar or my mom had left a sweet note. It made going away to school manageable!
I went back to college at age 30…..as a single mother of 2 elem children. I was scared and excited…….graduated 3 years later, found a good job and was able to support my small family well.

I never went to college or have college age kids, but had a nephew who dropped out of college, Helater returned and became an expert on trees.

I went to Nursing School. I had to go for orientation and try on my uniform. I came out and I had it on backwards. Talk about embarrassing.
Cool! I spent a fortune on printing albums at SnapFish so a great offer like this is always good.
